Harbhajan Singh says, “Jos Buttler has never looked so clueless as captain.”
The former off-spinner of Indian Cricket Team Harbhajan Singh expressed his shock at the poor performance of England in the ongoing ODI World Cup, saying they look far from a champion side in the tournament. The comment of Harbhajan came after England were handed an 8-wicket defeat by Sri Lanka at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Bhaji questions the captaincy of Jos Buttler and the decisions that the team management took, especially when it came to bringing back Ben Stokes out of retirement. In a YouTube video, Bhaji said, “Jos Buttler has never looked so clueless. Ben Stokes was asked to come out of retirement before the World Cup but got injured. He has failed to make a significant impact in the matches he has played.
Harbhajan further said, “England loved to chase in white-ball cricket and had batters who only dealt in fours and sixes. However, they forgot about boundaries; they are not even sure of how to take singles; it seems as if they have forgotten how to play this format; they do not look like world champions.”
